Zarin races into Battle at the Border finale at Sharon
Logan Zarin went head-to-head with the World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series over the weekend as the national tour rolled into Sharon Speedway in Ohio for the two-day Battle at the Border.
Facing a stout 38-car field split into two qualifying groups, Zarin got off to a challenging start on Friday, timing in 16th in his group before placing seventh in his heat race. Lined up deep in the field for his B-Main, he capped the night with a sixth-place finish, falling short of a transfer spot.
Regrouping for Saturday’s $15,000-to-win finale, Zarin made the right adjustments and secured the final transfer position in his B-Main to punch his ticket into the 50-lap feature. Starting from the 22nd position, he passed seven cars to register a 15th-place finish and close out the weekend on a strong note.
