Zarin pulls double duty in Pittsburgher at PPMS
Logan Zarin took on a demanding weekend at Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, competing with both the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the RUSH Crate Late Model Series during the 37th annual Pittsburgher.
Piloting his NAPA Racing No. 1Z Super Late Model, Zarin secured a transfer spot through his heat race to earn a spot in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned opener. In his Anarchy Kustoms No. 33X Crate Late Model entry, however, a fourth-place finish in the B-Main fell just short of a feature appearance. Zarin went on to finish 19th in the 30-lap Super Late Model A-Main.
Saturday brought similar mixed results. Zarin missed the transfer by one position in the RUSH Crate Late Model B-Main but successfully qualified for the marquee $50,000-to-win Pittsburgher main event via the preliminary action. He concluded the weekend with a 22nd-place finish in the 70-lap finale.
